Six Ways to Wear A String of Pearls



Of all the vintage jewellery, pearls are the first things that comes to mind. Classic women and pearls are a match made in heaven. However instead of wearing pearls the same old way, perhaps you can try to jazz up your peals to add some life to your classic look. There is no end as to how you can wear pearls. You can be a trendsetter and mix the classic with the new so as to create your personal style. So don't be afraid to dig deep and bring out your personal style.

I have included in this post a 1950s ad showing ideal ways to rock pearls. Instead of posting a video or a regular step by step picture, I felt that this old ad will be appropriate for this blog. Ok dolls! Being a woman of my words, I did promise to post a pic of me trying to apply the tips on how to wear string pearls. Concerning diagram E there was no fastener so it was impossible for me to wrap it so many times around my neck without choking myself and while A looked quite classy, I found myself  constantly  trying to keep it fastened as it was loosing from its knot. Clear or neutral colored rubber bands eventually the trick and those pearls fell right into place. Nevertheless, seeing that we are talking about personal style, I decided to show you a 7th way to rock a string of pearls.

  1. Wow those ads were were published .... in today's world lawyers letters and all kinda groups protesting you sure not to work again in the industry. I wonder what the impact was like back then hmmmmm

  2. Well it clearly was acceptable by the majority. For the minority , well that is a different story. That is why women had a valid reason to fight for their rights.
